Privacy policy
Effective September 3, 2026.
This page says what we collect, why, where it lives, and how long we keep it. It is short because we collect little.
Who we are
BASALT is Basalt Fitness LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, entity number 0015688021. Mailing address: 20 Terry Dr #834, Newtown, PA 18940. Email: support@basaltfitness.com. The company is owned and run by Christopher Fox in Newtown, Pennsylvania. When this page says we, it means the company. When you email, he is the one who answers.
What we collect
Four things. That is the full list.
- Your email address when you join the launch list or take the free guide.
- Your name and shipping address at checkout, plus the email address you give for the order confirmation and tracking.
- Contact form messages, meaning whatever you write and the email address you give so we can reply.
- First-party analytics, meaning the page path, the site that sent you if there was one, and the time. No name, no email, no device fingerprint. No third-party trackers, no advertising pixels, no cookies used for tracking.
Cloudflare sees your IP address while it serves you a page, the same as any host. Our analytics do not record it.
What we do not collect
Card numbers. Payments at launch are processed by Stripe. You type your card into Stripe's form and the number never touches our systems. We see that a payment went through and the amount. That is enough to refund it.
What your browser stores
Two things, both on your own machine.
- Your cart, kept in localStorage so it is still there if you close the tab.
- A session flag so the intro animation plays once, not on every page.
Neither one identifies you or follows you to another site. That is why there is no cookie consent banner. None is required, so we do not show one.
Where it lives
The site and its data are hosted on Cloudflare, on Workers and KV, on servers in the United States. Payment data lives with Stripe. Email goes out from support@basaltfitness.com.
What we do with it
- Ship your order and send the confirmation and tracking.
- Send the download link for the free guide.
- Send the launch list emails you signed up for.
- Answer your messages.
- Count which pages get read, so we know what to write next.
That is all of it. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or with anyone who would use it for their own purposes. The parties that touch a piece of it are the ones that have to: Cloudflare hosts it, Stripe processes the payment, and the shipping carrier gets the name and address printed on the label. Each one gets the minimum the job needs.
Two kinds come from support@basaltfitness.com.
Transactional email is about something you did: an order confirmation, a tracking number, a download link, a reply to your message. You get these whether or not you are on the list.
The launch list is marketing. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Replying with the word unsubscribe also works. Either way you are off the list and the address is removed. If you gave your email for the free guide, it is on the same list under the same rule.
How long we keep it
- List emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Order records: seven years, because tax law asks for it.
- Contact messages: one year.
- Analytics: a page path, a referrer, and a time. There is nothing in them to connect to you, so there is nothing to delete.
Your choices
Email support@basaltfitness.com and ask. You can see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner. The one thing we cannot delete on request is an order record inside its seven year window, because we are required to keep it. Everything else goes.
To make sure the request is yours, we reply to the address we have on file before doing anything.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the law gives you specific rights. Here is how each one works with us.
- Right to know. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we have it, and who we shared it with. The list above is the whole answer, and we will send you your own copy of it.
- Right to delete. You can ask us to delete your personal information. We do, except for order records we are required to keep for tax purposes, and we tell you which those are.
- Right to non-discrimination. Making a request does not change your price, your service, or how we treat you.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Send any request to support@basaltfitness.com. You can have someone send it on your behalf if you authorize them. We confirm with you first.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. We do not respond to it, because we do not track. There is nothing for the signal to turn off.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures. The site runs over HTTPS. Card numbers never reach us. Access to what we do hold is limited to the people who need it to fill your order, which is a short list. No system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee that nothing will ever go wrong. If something does go wrong with your data, you hear it from us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The version posted here is the one in force.
